Welcome to the home page of the Mountaineer Hang Gliding Association.

We are a dedicated group of Hang Gliding and Paragliding Enthusiasts. Our members are ADDICTED to flying. We spend a minimum amount of time talking about it and a maximum amount of time doing it.

Our annual meeting is held in Cumberland MD in early December when you can expect the worst flying weather, although we have skied out on this day.

If it's looking flyable, you can expect us to be on the hill, poised for takeoff.

MHGA Membership is required to fly High Point and Zirks near Cumberland Maryland. (There is a one time Guest Pilot Exception for Zirks when accompanied by a sponsoring member.)
